Programs

Montessori Primary Program

At each of our Montessori preschools we offer a Half Day and Full Day program which includes the Montessori Primary Educational program.

At Montessori School of Cedar Lane, the Half Day Preschool Program hours are 9:00 a.m. to noon (in the Kindergarten year the hours are 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Fridays). The Montessori Full Day Program hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Full Day Program includes a lunch period, a rest period, and additional play time on the playground and in the classrooms.

At Holly Brook Montessori School, the Montessori PreSchool hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Kindergarten hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. The Montessori Extended Day Program hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and includes the Montessori School. The Montessori Full Day Program hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and includes the Montessori School.

At Hunter Mill Montessori School, the Half Day Preschool Program hours are 9:00 a.m. to noon (in the Kindergarten year the hours are 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to  noon on Fridays). The Montessori Full Day Preschool Program hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Full Day Program includes a lunch period, a rest period, and additional play time on the playground and in the classrooms.

Snack Time

The school provides a nutritious snack during the morning and also in the afternoon. Children bring their own lunch from home. View more information about school snack.

The Kindergarten Year – Montessori’s Third (or Fourth) Primary Year

A child who turns 5 years old before September 30th is eligible to enroll in thekindergarten year. Children enrolled Half Day stay for lunch and additional work period in the afternoon. Children enrolled Full Day have an additional work period in the afternoon instead of a rest period.

Our schools consider the Third (or Fourth) year the culmination of a child’s work in the Montessori Primary Environment. For further information, please see the Quick Link.

Each School offers several enrichment programs which are available to our Half Day and Full Day students.
