Summer Camp Program
Each summer the Montessori School of Cedar Lane hosts a summer camp program for children enrolled at our three sister schools, Cedar Lane, Holly Brook and Hunter Mill. Children and staff from the three schools combine to enjoy a fun and exciting summer camp. Each summer is carefully planned with different themes and curriculum areas. Activities include arts and crafts, outside play, science exploration, art appreciation, water play, dress-up, obstacle courses, music, Stretch-n-grow and more.
Depending on the summer calendar, the summer camp will run for 11 or 12 weeks. Parents may enroll their children for the full session or for half sessions. Half-Day (8:30 a.m. - noon), Extended Day (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and Full Day (7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.) options are offered. Enrollment for summer camp begins in mid-February. Parents are urged to sign up their children as soon as possible – in past summers we have been filled to capacity. Please check the quick links for the Summer Camp Calendars and fee schedule. Applications are available in mid-February from each school’s office.
It’s time to think about Summer Camp 2011!
Summer Camp will be for 11 weeks starting Monday, June 13 and ending Friday, August 26. Sign up for one or both sessions!
- Session 1: Monday, June 13 – Friday, July 22 (6 weeks) July 4/Holiday
- Session 2: Monday, July 25 – Friday, August 26 (5 weeks)
During summer camp, your child will find each and every day filled with fun and exciting themes and activities! A calendar with the weekly themes and activities is attached.
Monday and Tuesday
- “Stretch-n-Grow” Movement Class
- Explore different art techniques
Wednesday
- Water Day
Thursday and Friday
- Super Science Experiments and Cooking Chemistry
- Special Celebrations and other fun surprises
This is a first come, first served application process. Please fill out the Summer Camp Application and return it along with a $250 deposit as soon as possible. Spaces fill quickly!
